Ohio State Eve

Another big game tomorrow. I think this will be the true "are we back?" game. Still not sure if we can hang with the Buckeyes for 60 minutes, but am anxious to see how they do.

A couple of tidbits to think about:

• PSU always plays tOSU tough. It is really our rivalry game (more than any other opponent in the Big Ten). Even when PSU has been down, they play the Bucks hard. JoePa's 324th win came against the Buckeyes in 2001 when PSU ended up going 5-6. Safe to say that this year we have a little more talent on both sides of the ball--especially the offense--than we have in a while.
• The weather calls for rain tomorrow. Does this neutralize the speed of both teams, or make it that much more important? I think a slog-it-out game favors PSU, since they seem to have a better running game. Either way, rain will make things difficult.
• The last time ESPN Gameday was at Penn St was prior to the Arizona game in 1999. We fared ok in that one, as I recall!

I think that if the Nits hang on to the ball and don't give up a big special teams play, they can keep the game close late. If they do that, who knows. Here's hoping for a good game.
